How to stop italki "lesson confirmation needed" emails
Some good things come with annoying things. Jam is tasty, but a stuck lid is annoying. Batman is cool, but Robin is annoying. Italki is useful, but their lesson confirmation needed emails are annoying.
Because after every lesson, italki sends me an email asking me to confirm the lesson.
Dear Paul,
Your lesson with [teacher name] should be complete. Please confirm the lesson and provide the teacher feedback.
Please follow the link below to confirm the lesson and leave feedback (or report a problem).
The emails are annoying because I have to open each one, click the link, log in (if I'm not already logged in), click "Lesson complete", rate the quality of the teacher, click submit, enter my password, and then click submit again. And you can't unsubscribe from these emails either.
I found a better way. Set a rule in your email accounts options that sends all emails with "Italki - Lesson Confirmation Needed" in their subject line to your spam folder.
Ignoring the messages like this won't cause problems: your teacher will still get the payment, just slightly later. Italki confirmed this in one of their articles:
If the student ignores the message, the lesson will be automatically confirmed by our system after 7 days, and payment will be transferred from the student to the teacher.
There, I've helped you deal with these tedious email. Now, can you help me with my stuck lid?
