The shit blog of Paul Chris Jones

Punched in the shoulder

Dear Diary. Girlfriend had an appointment with the doctor at 8 am. They said that it was still too early to induce the birth. She has another appointment in a couple of days.

I got 4-year-old ready for school. I let him play a game on my phone, something Girlfriend wouldn't have let him do if she were there. I had to get him dressed while he was playing the game. Then we got to the school one minute before the gate closed. So 4-year-old got in okay. I was lucky.

This evening I went to a Bodycombat class at the gym. I felt good, and I think I looked good too. My hair transplant is beginning to look good. it's been almost four months now since I had it done. I just need a bit more muscle and to let my hair grow longer. And I need to start talking to people as well. At the moment I talk to no one. There was a woman behind me who punched me in the back during the class. It was an accident. "Sorry, did I hurt you?" she said. "It's okay, no worries," I said. But I could have used that as an opportunity to get to know her a little bit. I keep my myself to myself.

Oh, I got a spot at the front of the Bodycombat class today. The front is where the best people go. I have a trick: 20 minutes before the class starts, you put a mat down where you want to be and then you can go off and do other things. The mat saves your place. And then just before the class starts, you come back and you've got your place reserved for you.

Today, I've just been mainly writing. I wrote some stuff for the Canada book. I wrote stuff for the first chapter about being on a minibus with other people going to a ski resort. And then I edited a couple of my blog posts as well. Then I worked on my exam books. I’m trying to make a new one about the administrative aspects of medical assisting in California. It's as boring as it sounds and I'm not sure anyone will even buy it.
