New apartment

11th August 2013 Paul Chris Jones

Dear Diary. "I want to quit," I tell Girlfriend.

"You can't quit," she says. "Not until you find another job first. Remember how bored you were when you didn't have a job?"

"I'd rather be bored than damage myself like this," I complain.

"What about the money?" she asks. "Remember how you were anxious about your money running out? After a couple of weeks of quitting you'd just be worried about your money again."

"If only I had enough money to last for another one and a half years. Then I could do whatever I want," I reply sarcastically, referring to the savings I have.

Later, Girlfriend and go to see an apartment. On the way, I think of my tiredness as being like a wall. Cold, hard and unforgiving. In my head, the wall is white but the paint is peeling

We're both impressed by the apartment. It's well maintained and looks nice.

On the way home, I say, “You know, I think this has been the worst week I’ve had in Canada.”

We agree we will take the apartment.
