So I did it. I changed this blog's URL from paulchrisjones.com to pauljonesblog.com.

But changing the URL was a hundred times more difficult than it sounds. You might think WordPress would provide a simple "change URL" button. But nooooooooo. Instead I had to follow a 14 step guide. 14 steps. That's more steps than I walk in a whole day. The worst part was having to re-add the featured image of every. Single. Blog post. One by one. Which took hours of RSI-inducing toil.

In all, it's taken about ten hours of work to copy all my content from one domain to another. Why doesn't WordPress automate this? There is an import/export option, but it only copies your words - so forget about your images, themes and plugins, then.
