Leg injury

2nd March 2023 Paul Chris Jones

Dear Diary. I've gone and injured one of my legs. It happened last week at the gym. I was doing leg extensions on an exercise machine and straight away I noticed a pain in my inner left thigh. Being in idiot, I ignored the pain and carried on, but the pain only got worse, so I stopped.

I put ice on my leg for the first three days but it still hurts now when I walk.

This is annoying as I already have two injured arms. Without legs, I can't go for my daily walks along Girona's medieval wall.

On top of this I've lost my voice, or at least part of it. I can still talk but it comes out strained. I can't make any high-pitched noises anymore so I can't sing in falsetto.

0-year-old was sick three times in bed this morning. We'll have to change the sheets. I think it's a stomach bug. Girlfriend took him to the doctors and they gave him some saline to drink, which he vomited straight back up again, so they gave him medication to stop him vomiting. Then Girlfriend called me and asked if I could bring a change of clothes for 0-year-old since his clothes were covered in vomit. So I walked to the doctor's clinic with a change of clothes, but when I got there I realized I didn't have a COVID mask. You can't enter the clinic without a mask. I tried calling Girlfriend to see if she could come out and take the clothes from me but she had her phone on silent mode, as she always then. In the end, I found a discarded covid mask lying on the floor outside the doctors' clinic so I picked it up and put it on. Hopefully, it wasn't worn by a patient with COVID.

I went in and gave Girlfriend the clothes. 0-year-old was happy and sitting in his pushchair. She had to keep him in his pushchair until he did a wee because they needed a urine sample.
